For the sixth consecutive year, Markon Solutions has been named one of The Washington Post’s 2019 Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C. area. Markon was ranked number 14 out of all medium-sized businesses, advancing 11 spots from its 2018 ranking. The company was also favorably highlighted for its efforts to increase workplace equality and diversity in leadership in the article that accompanied the list, "Even Top Workplaces face problems with diversity and pay gaps."
Selection is based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, which measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection. This year’s list honors more than 150 companies including government contractors, law firms, nonprofits, schools, and businesses.

“Now in its sixth year, The Post’s Top Workplaces list continues to reflect companies in the region that cultivate a connection with their workforce,” said Washington Post Top Workplaces editor Dion Haynes. “It’s clear from the survey that these organizations share a commitment to providing support and an environment that makes employees feel valued and respected.”
"I am not shy at all to say that the most important thing to me is our employees," said Matt Dean, Markon Solutions President and CEO. "At Markon, we value our employees, we give them a professional place to work, we pay them like professionals, we give them professional opportunities. As a result, they run through brick walls for our clients. They do fantastic things for our clients."
