Markon Cares Volunteers for 2021 Project Management Day of Service

Markon-PMDOS-2021-slideBLOGFor the 5th consecutive year, Markon Solutions participated in the Project Management Day of Service hosted by Project Management for Change on February 20th. Steve Genn, Allen LeMessurier and Michelle Obata represented Markon for the full-day event. Each volunteer provided pro-bono project management guidance to a local non-profit through a problem solving session to conquer their greatest challenges.

Allen supported the Waterford Foundation which is one of America’s first community-based historic preservation organizations. Their mission is to preserve the historic buildings and open spaces of the National Historic Landmark of Waterford, Virginia, and through education, to increase the public’s knowledge of life and work in an early American rural community. Together they identified a path forward for the Waterford Foundation's online presence as well as tackling some of their organizational challenges. Steve and Michelle were both returning PMDOS volunteers and enjoyed working with American Turkish Association and WETATi.
